Language & Self-Determination Study
In this study, we want to learn about the experiences of racially and ethnically diverse autistic teenagers and adults (ages 14-30 years) and non-autistic age peers. We are interested in how individuals use language and self-determination, or the extent to which individuals feel they can set and work towards goals, given available resources in the environment. Study activities can be done remotely on Zoom, and we pay participants for their time and effort.
Status: Currently recruiting.

Language Processing Study
In this study, we examine language and cognitive processing in autistic adolescents and young adults (ages 14-30) and non-autistic age peers using functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). We are interested in how fNIRS might improve assessment and our understanding of individual strengths in language and cognition. Study activities take place in person in Southern California or the Northeast, and we pay participants for their time and effort.
Status: Currently recruiting.
